ABOUT THE AUTHOR

JACK L. HAYES is an internationally recognized authority on business crime and loss prevention. Having been retained by some of the finest corporations in the United States, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, and South America, Jack has also consulted with the New York Stock Exchange, United States Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, and has testified in Federal and State Criminal and Civil Courts as an Expert Witness on internal dishonesty. In addition to his hands-on experiences, Jack has conducted extensive studies over the past four decades into how and why people steal from all types of organizations, and he has interviewed literally hundreds of internal and external thieves. These experiences have greatly assisted Jack in gaining extraordinary knowledge relating to why people steal and which methods work best in preventing internal fraud and embezzlement in all types of business environments. Jack has written numerous articles on internal and external theft; published a subscription newsletter for 22 years; served as a regular columnist for two trade magazines; authored and produced over 240 minutes of award-winning videos; quoted in numerous newspapers; participated in radio and TV shows; and self-published a variety of highly successful educational workbooks and motivational materials.
